Hint: the gospel invites us to.
I’ve been thinking a lot about what this means to market the, the other leg to the three legged publishing author, entrepreneur stool. You got your writing, you got your publishing, and then your marketing. In the last Author 2.0 Insight video, I talked about what marketing is, and especially from a Christian standpoint.
It is connecting to readers. As an author, and it is connecting your readers, potential readers, to the things that you’ve created that you believe are helpful, useful, entertaining, insightful, and inspirational for their own entertainment, their spiritual journey, their own relationship with Christ, their own connection to the heart of God.
So if that is true, then why should we do it? Why should we spend money to make that connection on the one hand, and why should we spend the time to make those connections with readers, potential readers, our readers, who might find what we offer useful and helpful?
There are a few reasons why, as Christians, we ourselves should be specifically and particularly engaged in the marketing process.
Create for Christ,
