Focus on answering these 3 questions.
For the past few weeks I’ve been wrestling with a question since clearing the deck of some major writing projects—two fiction books, written and edited and put out into the world; one nonfiction book of the same.
The question I’m wrestling with is this: How do you decide what to write?
What about you? How do you, right there, how do you decide for yourselves, what next to write after you finished your current writing project?
Because when your current work is done, edited, out into the world and published with people buying it—after that launch period you step back you take a breath and you recover maybe from the gauntlet of writing and then polishing up editing your work to bring it to standard to delight readers, then it’s like, okay what’s next?
How do you decide what to write next? How do you decide what’s best next?
Here’s how I’ve been answering that question for myself—focusing on three things. Hope it helps you figure out what’s best to write next.
